From Takashi Miike, the sensational director of Audition, Dead or Alive and Gozu, comes another uncompromising tale of underworld intrigue and violence. Seiji (Riki Takeuchi of Dead or Alive and Fudoh) is part of an underachieving yakuza trio. He and his two gang brothers, leader Muto and the young Yoshifumi (Gozu's Hideki Sone), are dirt poor but fiercely loyal to each other. When their bosses order Muto to repay a debt by assassinating a rival gangster, Seiji takes Muto's place to protect his friend from harm. But instead of his target, Seiji tries to kill the leader of the rival gang, who is mortally wounded in the attack. Seiji's actions trigger a vicious gang war and an enemy hit squad is sent to kill him. When their superiors also abandon him and his two brothers, Seiji has to fight with his back against the wall. But they will find out that this is when he is athis most dangerous!
