Derailroaded R2 - Inside The Mind Of Larry Wildman Fi
Releasedatum: 5 juni 2006
A shocking and sensitive journey through the thunderstorms of a paranoid-schizophrenic mind, Derailroaded follows Larry "Wild Man" Fischer`s discordant encounters in the music business. Institutionalized at 16 after attacking his mother with a knife, Larry was left to wander the streets of LA singing his totally unique brand of songs for 10 cents to passersby. Over the course of 40 years, Fischer became an underground favourite after being discovered by Frank Zappa, with whom he cut his first record. He appeared on national television, was the first artist to be recorded on Rhino Records, sang a duet with Rosemary Clooney and was featured in John Peel`s Festive Fifty. Derailroaded traces Fischer`s life from neglected child to troubled genius through archival footage and personal interviews with family, friends, and industry professionals including Frank Zappa, Gail Zappa, "Weird" Al Yankovic, Devo`s Mark Mothersbaugh, Solomon Burke, Dr. Demento and Barnes & Barnes. Prepare to be moved, amazed and repelled, but ultimately come to know what it is like to be profoundly Derailroaded.

DVD Extra's:
Deleted scenes. Outtakes. Interview. Two audio commentaries. Booklet. And more.
