'Porco Rosso', from world renowned Japanese Animator Hiyao Miyazaki's ('Princess Mononoke'/ Spirited Away'/ Howl's Moving Castle') Studio Ghibli, is a fantastical mix of action and adventure above the clouds. Set in the Balkans during the 1930s, only one pilot rules the skies: talented pilot Marco, also known now as Porco Rosso due to a magic spell which has transformed him into a pig. Marco lives a happy life as a pilot for hire protecting airships from marauding air-pirates, resting on his private island and visiting his friend, beautiful hotel-owner Gina. But when a hot-headed American pilot arrives looking to make a name for himself by shooting down the legendary Crimson Pig, Porco gets his battered sea-plane back into shape with the help of feisty teenage engineer Fio... This first UK DVD release of anime classic 'Porco Rosso' will contain two audio options - both the original Japanese Language version and an English version featuring the voice of Michael Keaton as Porco.
